Born To Be Wild

This evergreen or weed sprout was doing well growing between bricks.  But when I transplanted it into a pot it died.

I found two more sprouts but the same thing happened.

They were born to be wild.

"Like a true nature's child
We were born , born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die."

~Lyrics from Steppenwolf's song.

  1. It would seem that this little plant wishes to grow where it plants its tiny feet.
I am sorry that it will not take up residence in the lovely pot that you chose for it, John.
When one is born on the wind,
    wild and free,
    we must leave it,
    just let it be~

  2. The potting soil is a different medium completely to the soil your weedling started out in. The root couldn't adjust.

    1. That's a good point. This must have been the cause.

  3. Interesting experiment. I'm still wondering why some flowering plants are weeds and others are well-liked flowers.
