Was This the Legendary Unicorn?

Or maybe it was actually like this?

A Prehistoric Rhinoceros

Most likely it could just be a regular rhino.  They are not overweight lumbering beasts.  Some can weigh up to 5,000 pounds and run over 30 miles per hour!

This video shows a rhino galloping like a horse.  Its horn must been broken off.

Galloping Rhino Chester Zoo

Maybe an actual unicorn that looked more like a horse did exist.  I'd like to think so.

Comments

  1. Unicorns are mythical animals, and unless world misconceptions change, the rhinos are about to become mythical. The African black rhino is in such danger from poachers that the few remaining animals are under twenty-four hour guard.

  2. They exist and they are not rhinos.

Even though people in old-timey times seemed to turn everything into horses. Like sea monsters: They tried to draw sea monsters like horses, too.

But then again, who am I to say sea monsters didn't look like horses?

  3. If they didn't exist, they should have.

  4. Unicorns are cryptids. A cryptid is an animal that may be real but there is a lack of physical evidence to prove them. Dragons, the Loch Ness Monster, and Bigfoot fall into this category. I tend to side with the view of most females that a unicorn is a lovely white horse with a beautiful twisting horn of either white or gold.

  5. A mighty beat. Video was interesting seeing the Rhino.
Hope there were Unicorns - we think so :)

  6. They probably never existed, as we know them anyway.
