Evaluate Your Life Day

Sometimes I spend too much time evaluating my life.  But it can be helpful if you don't become obsessed with it.

From the site:

After spending a little time (not too much) on this and making any changes that might be useful; I like to go back to just enjoying life.

Are there any thoughts you'd like to share?

  1. Having dog or a cat to pet is absolutely essential to my peace of mind. I also require a bird feeder, bird bath, lawn chair and small table for my iced tea glass. A covered patio is nice on a hot day, small breeze blowing while I watch the clouds go by. Cloud watching is my longest running hobby. Going on 60+ years. I don't lie in the grass anymore but still do my fair share of watching. I wish you peace john, today and everyday. good news about your tests. I am having a biopsy soon and hoping for the best. Maybe I'll get a few more years of cloud watching.....

    1. Good luck for your test. I like your hobby and how you set up your lawn chair, etc.

  2. Well, as Socrates said, "the unexamined life is not worth living" and I think that's very true.

  3. This is just about every few months for me :) Sometimes I like what I discover, other times I don't and it's time for a change. But like you said, it's okay as long as we don't become obsessed with it.

  4. For the most part I have had a very good life. There have been bumps and even a couple of regrets but mostly good. I was talking to one of my sons and he asked me what I had wanted to "be". I told him I had various career choices at various times but the one thing I had always wanted to "be" was a mother. He then told me that I had a successful life. Is he sweet or what?
