Miss Brooklyn and Miss Manhattan

These statues are located at the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge on the Brooklyn side.  What surprised me about them was how they rotate and how they are lit up from within at night.

I took these two videos, one during the day and one at night.

They're almost ghostly.

  4. That is so cool! The last video is a good explanation for the questions I had about it. Ten years is a long time to work on a project; I imagine the artist was relieved when it was finished :)
