96th Birthday

My mother-in law just turned 96! I hope I can reach her age someday. I don't think she does anything special to stay healthy. She must have some pretty good genes.

The women of four generations

Evey used her balloon to hide her great-grandmother's face!

Evey's brother Miles is near the center with her uncle, his father on the left and I'm on the right. His great-grandfather passed away several years ago.

  1. 96 is wonderful, John! My own mom lived to 94 and my mother-in-law to 98 (but my siblings didn't make it pasts their 50's) So we never know. Great birthday pics!!

    1. At a lecture on how to live a long healthy life, the lecturer said the most important thing is to pick the right parents so you can get the best genes.

  7. Your mother-in-law looks great! I bet she lives healthily even though she says she did nothing special to have such a long life - the older generation often ate more moderately and healthily and kept more active than current generations. May she have a wonderful year and more birthdays to come!

  10. That is quite a feat to live so long in this time. My Dad turned 97 last summer and Mom 90 last Spring.

Nice to see the several generations celebrating together.

    Kind regards,
    Mike
