Adrenaline Stimulation for a Tough Army

Cornu de Pompei Not very good singers but they get the point across. Are we any more civilized today?

When I Get Low, I Get High

Does this song mean that when she gets "low" (sad, depressed), she gets the strength to pull herself up and get "high". Or, does it mean she feels better by taking alcohol and drugs?  Newer video:  Try full screen. "Original" version:  Chick Webb & his Orchestra Ella Fitzgerald - When I Get Low I Get High 1936

Simulated Reality

What if the simulated reality went back in a series until it reached the primary creator? Would it be God? Here's an interesting video:

Kazoo

I was thinking about learning to play the kazoo. But I don't really like the way it sounds. Maybe I can try it kidding around as a sort of joke. These don't sound too bad.

Alone

No Radio, No Cell Phone, No GPS etc. What often amazes me is how the old time sailors navigated the oceans. In fact they were even more alone than the astronauts of today. That was bravery! Here are some videos you may enjoy.    Here's a song about how emotionally close the men of these ships became. I often think about my old friend from 40 years ago who for some reason only sends me a Christmas card once a year but never keeps in touch the rest of the year no matter how much I try to write or phone him. It's a real mystery to me. Here's one more:

What's Next?

We have the unbelievably lethal covid-19, then violence in the streets.  What will happen next? These frightening times remind me of the move The Purge.

National Dog Day

It was Yesterday but here's an article and video you may enjoy: NATIONAL DOG DAY National Dog Day on August 26th encourages dog ownership of all breeds. While seeking a new companion, be sure to consider the mutts, mixes, purebreds, and everything in between.  Whether mixed or purebred, embrace the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe, and abuse-free life. They all give us companionship. Additionally, they keep us safe, and they aid those in need. Dogs play. Well, they play many roles in our lives, too! They keep us healthy, both physically and mentally. While many days aim to find loving homes for dogs, this day expands that consideration to look beyond the breed. Look into the heart of the animal. The purpose of the National Dog Day Foundation is to rescue 10,000 dogs each year.

Should There Be an Amazon echo Silver?

I'd like to share this video my daughter Laurissa sent me.  It was originally on SNL.

Swing

It's something new with me how I've become so interested in swing music and dance; especially the newer electro-swing.  Enjoy full screen, if you like it. Dancing Mashup 1930's Style Electro-Swing Dance Freestyle: "Make Swing Great Again"

Hiding from the Corona Virus, Covid-19

I've been staying indoors most of the time except for taking trash to the dump, getting prescriptions and groceries. I sometimes stop at a fast food restaurant on my way home. I go to the take out window and eat in my car. It's not like dining at a restaurant but it's okay.  If  the weather is nice I like to sit outside in my backyard. I found some videos you may like. They show how much different the world looks with people staying home, something like a science fiction movie. Anyway, I hope you are all staying safe. PEOPLE ANIMALS EVEN STRIPPERS!

Some Thoughts About the Corona Virus

I think this doctor's mask from the Great Bubonic Plague captures how scary the Corona Virus may seem to some people. My wife had to cancel an appointment for her back pains with a neurosurgeon who practices in Philadelphia. It was not worth the risk travelling to a large city hospital. The receptionist said they had many cancellations. In some ways the Corona Virus Epidemic reminds me of the Bubonic Plague. Here's some information I found on the web:   Wikipedia: The  Black Death , also known as the  Pestilence ,  Great Bubonic Plague , the  Great Plague  or the  Plague , or less commonly the  Black Plague , was one of the most devastating pandemics in human history  resulting in the deaths of an estimated  75 to 200 million  people in  Eurasia , peaking in  Europe  from 1347 to 1351. [1] [2] [3]  The  bacterium   Yersinia pestis ,  This was a bacteria. Today's Corona is a virus which can be just as deadly . Virus: Invading you to stay alive. Here is a good
