Backyard Hummingbird's Nest

I did not actually see the nest when it was in use but I'm sure the birds left the nest empty after the eggs hatched and the young were able to care for themselves.

The next day I found the nest on the ground.

I made this short video of one of the three hummingbirds I see at the feeder each day.

    I would like to have a nice hummingbird feeder so I could watch them. Around here the squirrels and other birds would interfere. Hummers are so pretty.

    The nest is big for such a little thing! You probably had to be very patient to get that video. They are such quick birds.

      Maybe the full screen option might work. They're very small and only appear for a few seconds.

    Those birds are so quick...every time I hear one at the flowers, I gently pick up my camera and by the time I get it focused, it's gone!

    I love hummingbirds. They are so adorable. I've seen a nest of theirs once.
