Why Can't a Day Go By Without Hearing the Word Literally?

Have you noticed that a day does not pass without hearing the word "literally".

I play a game with my wife about "literally". Whenever we hear it we repeat it loudly.

It's often on TV shows and speeches, even from Congress. We hear it more often than expected. Pay attention and you'll see what I mean.
