Crumb Cake Covered with Powdered Sugar & A Happiness Lecture

The snow covered rough soil looks like crumb cake covered with powdered sugar if you use your imagination. I spent the day loafing, waiting for my energy to return. I was just so tired. This leaflet was in my mailbox.  At first I did not notice what was wrong with the image. Maybe the lecture doesn't always help!

Open a Wine Bottle without a Corkscrew

I  just might try one of these methods even if I do have a corkscrew handy!   I love gadgets and experimenting with different ways of doing common tasks. It's better to use a white wine so there won't be any staining.

Open a Tin Can with Your Bare Hands?

This Russian video shows how to open a tin can without a can opener.  In an emergency this could be necessary. I don't think this will work if  you have arthritis.  Maybe it would work if a lot more time was spent bending the can back and forth.   Placing the can on the edge of something hard like a sidewalk curb and using your foot would be easier even if not very appetizing.

Yesterday on January 8, 2014 I did a post about the song: The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze Here's the link to that post: The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze Now today January 9, 2014, I somehow surfed my way to a post named "Why Leotards Are Called That" from the Today I Found Out blog. Here's the link:   Why Leotards Are Called That Some excerpts: "Born in 1842, Leotard is best known for inventing the flying trapeze routine. His father owned a gymnasium and trained Leotard in his early years. As a boy, he became proficient at the parallel ba
