I Found a Useful Website: "Compare Anything" "This vs That"

I feel it's fun and maybe it can be useful. You can try it to see if you like it: This vs. That   Example: Nails vs Screws What's the Difference? Nails and screws are both commonly used fasteners in construction and woodworking projects. Nails are typically made of metal and have a smooth shaft with a pointed end, making them easy to hammer into place. Screws, on the other hand, have a threaded shaft and require a screwdriver or drill to secure them into place. While nails are quicker to install, screws provide a stronger and more secure hold. Ultimately, the choice between nails and screws depends on the specific project and the desired level of durability and strength. It doesn't stop here. A Few Views

I forget a lot more than this. Remember what this is? I wonder how many kids know what it is. Even I have better electrical skills than this, especially the upper right plugs!

Feeling a Little Under the Weather

I'll be back soon.
Beautiful, but so easy to grow it becomes a pest by planting itself. But I like Dandelions. (photos copied from web)

Here, Now, Enjoy Life!

I've frequently heard that it's best to be aware of the present moment but sometimes it seems a little too difficult to remember.  When I do remember, I feel so alive.  Life turns into a sort of "High Definition" experience. To help me remember I wrote "Here, Now, Enjoy Life" on an index card and set it on my desktop. I made up a simple chart for myself: Present Moment: Here (Location) Now (time) Enjoy Life --Body (food, sleep, pleasures...) --Mind ( Hobbies, Learn, Experience...) --Meaningful (Spiritual, Purpose ...) Other people can set up a chart better suited to themselves if they like. It is impossible for anyone to be happy all the time.  Life can be hard.  But it is a very interesting concept, even though I only remember to do it about ten percent of the time. Just a few thoughts.

Not French Fries

Ketchup will not help this.  Composting and outside toilet combination. I guess it might work, but doesn't look too safe. For people who just can't stop arguing.

Swiss Army Knife Ideas

It seems so useful until it is overdone. Here is an idea for use in a workshop or for a handyman. New Swiss Army option for cell phones.

Absinthe and the Green Fairy (continued from my earlier post)

I never tied it because I don't drink but I'm curious as to how it tastes.  The story behind the drink is fascinating. Here is some information I've found. This man is in his own world. Absinthe can have an alcohol percentage of 45–74% ABV (alcohol by volume), or 90–148 proof.  The common alcohol percentage is 68%.   What Does Absinthe  Taste Like? Absinthe is a strong  alcoholic  beverage, and it has a strong taste to match. In his short story “Hills Like White Elephants,” Ernest Hemingway likened absinthe’s flavor to  licorice . Many would agree with this comparison — but the Wormwood Society argues that quality absinthe should never taste like licorice candy. Instead, it should have a slightly bitter, dry, and astringent flavor that’s both complex and subtle.  toxic substances sometimes added to cheap absinthes, could cause mental health problems. Today, it has been proven that the thujone present in absinthe has no hallucinogenic effect in the...

Not Available on Xbox

This is an old video of my grandson having fun with an appliance box.  I remember doing something similar when I was young very many years ago!

More Poisons I've Found

Death Cap Mushroom

I came across this video, which is practical and fun.

Snowstorm Out My Backyard

The snow is so pretty but I'm stuck inside. No problem, time to read and play on the Web and catch up on chores.
