8 Great Philosophical Questions That We'll Never Solve - StumbleUpon
"Mathematical structures can consist of numbers, sets, groups, and points — but are they real objects, or do they simply describe relationships that necessarily exist in all structures?"
I think that numbers only describe what is "real" and have no real existence outside of our minds.

Atte.

¡gracias
DeleteThe numbers are only symbols. The math functions and relationships that predict and constrain physical objects like a bubble or a planet appear to work throughout our universe even if no one thinks about it.
ReplyDeleteI found an interesting book (good but not great) titled "Trespassing on Einstein's Lawn" that spends many pages pondering what reality is.
The other big mystery is my love of bacon.
That's a good point! The relationships exist even outside our minds.
