Our Smallest Christmas Tree Yet

When we were younger we bought a large live tree. Then we moved down to smaller and smaller trees each year. Finally we bought an artificial tree.  Little by little that got smaller each year until now we have the smallest one we've ever had. But it's the spirit of Christmas that counts the most.

Just in Time for Christmas

This plant was a gift but I don't know its name. It made this one flower about a month before my Christmas cactus began blooming.

My Blooming Christmas Cactus

Just in time for Christmas, all opened up. How it looked a few weeks ago. Here the buds are starting to bloom. This is almost all open.

Dracaena Fragrans Growing Buds 2018

About a year ago my plant grew two flowers. Now I found two buds growing. From a distance the buds are hard to see. Below are some closer views. Look closely to see the droplet of liquid.  It was a very sticky liquid last year that dripped on the plant leaves and "corroded" some holes in them.  The buds should grow linger in a little while. I found some dead flies near the buds so I wonder if the plant somehow used them for nourishment or was it just a coincidence? Autumn Song from an Old Post

I thought you might like this before Winter really comes into play. From my post on October 2016.  For the lyrics:   REFLECTIONS: "Come Little Leaves"

My Freezer Shelf Fell Off Again!

I was used to digging through the freezer of my refrigerator to find what I wanted after the shelf kept falling off its holder.  Items would fall down and between the other shelves below. It was very frustrating. I finally found a fix for this today on the internet.  Here's the video: How to permanently fix falling freezer shelves in GE Profile Refrigerator It worked for me! I think it should work for other refrigerators with the same problem. Here's a nice cartoon about a man and his refrigerator:

Why Modern Music Is Awful

This video is 20 minutes long but in my opinion well worth the time.  It has some detailed reasons that make sense, more than just a taste for a certain style. The TRUTH Why Modern Music Is Awful

Caro Emerald - The Ghost Of You

I found this on a post from:  Link: The Low Carb Diabetic

Strange Pencil Sharpeners

Guess it can also be used as a "nose picker". Comes in handy when doing crossword puzzles while on the john. Just in time for Halloween. For the serious student of pencil sharpening technique.

Waiting at the Ophthalmologist's Office

(I copied the above sign from the web. The photos below are mine.) While waiting at the eye doctor's office I saw this pair of large eyeglasses hanging above the eyeglass display. The office houses both an ophthalmologist and an optometrist. I was there to see the ophthalmologist for a yearly exam. I took a photo with my cellphone and edited it at home. The lighting was not the best but I tried to make the photo look a bit dreamy, There is a mirror below the large eyeglasses. This makes  the reflection look like the nose and mouth of a face. Finally I enlarged the eyeglasses.

Walking on Leaves

Remember walking on fallen leaves as a child? It was magical! The smaller girl is my granddaughter

Trying PhotoScape

This is a "free" photo editing program but as usual some of the features are not free. Hopefully I'll only need the free ones. Sorry I haven't been posting recently. I'm just too tired. I'm seeing my family doctor on Wednesday. Blood work should help determine the cause. Looks too good to be true doesn't it? Hopefully any advertisements should cover it. Ill be surprised if most of theses features don't cost something. Nothing is truly free. Everyone needs income.

Hobo Symbols and Life

Last week I posted about the symbols used for washing clothes, Laundry Symbols".  Now I found some symbols used by hobos. For me these symbols are difficult to understand but the descriptions are great.  Their lifestyle is so interesting. Try a full screen and louder. I had to put it on maximum sound level. You can turn down the sound level for this one!
