Perpetual Motion vs Thermodynamics

Now here is something to think about. Wouldn't it be great if someone could invent a way to make a perpetual motion machine? As a kid I used to wonder why things like skateboards or marbles would just stop moving after a while. Here's a video I came across.

    my sons watch Ted's Video fondly dear John and this one was excellent too

    yes i agree that there are so many things that we still don't understand and this is why it is so probable to discover way to produce perpetual energy in future :)
