Intriguing photo. Is there a story that goes with it?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's the oldest photo I have of my family. I'm not sure who it is. I'm guessing it's my grandfather on my father's side. I never met him. The shape of his head is similar to my father's. His face seems like a version of my father's face with harder features.. I want to repair the photo and hope I can find a specialist to help me. In the meantime I'll play with it. The image is a copy so the original is not touched.
DeleteThat is an old image that has just managed to survive, but I wonder for how much longer?
ReplyDeleteI know. It's scary. Maybe a professional can make a restored copy for me. I think it's my grandfather. I never met him.
DeleteWow! I wonder how old this is.
ReplyDeleteIt's at least 70 years old. But I think it could be up to 100 years.
DeleteThat is rather an old photo, and I wonder who it is!
ReplyDeleteMy guess it's my grandfather on my father's side.
DeleteWhat an amazing photograph.
ReplyDeleteThere are specialist firms that can repair the photo/image for you, but I don't know how much it would cost.
Perhaps you may have firms in your area that could advise you.
All the best Jan
I'll have to look into it. Thanks Jan
DeleteAs you said if it is of your father you must save it dear John as old photos of family are always treasure to eyes
