We get no kids coming for Halloween treats. I guess it's because we live in an older neighborhood. It's not an adult community, just an ordinary one.
There is one home with a young girl, but she never comes by.
My grandchildren have a block party. They live four hours away from us.
Probably the strange times we are living in has something to do with it.
We met someone who would not celebrate Halloween because of her religious beliefs. She told us it would be celebrating evil.
Lynette and I like to watch scary movies and shows on TV. The world is a scary enough place as it is now but it's a distraction to watch strange creatures on TV. At least we know they can't be real.
I hope you all have a fun time.
I made the above three images.
I found these below on the Web:
The scariest creature to me is "Twisty the Clown".
Here is the story behind him:
A Day in the Park:
I like the images you made! On Halloween night, I hope you and Lynette find a nice scary movie to watch and have some healthy (or not so healthy) treats all for yourselves!
ReplyDeleteA day in the park - well that was interesting.
ReplyDeleteYou did an excellent job of the graphics you made.
We don't celebrate down here, yet some do and it appears as if it's becoming more popular.
Halloween is not my favorite holiday. Pumpkins and black cats are OK, but I don't go for 'horror' (movies or costumes). Some really like it (my DIL loves it and goes all out). We used to have tons of kids come by... but then the pandemic shut that down. Now, people tend to do 'trunk-a-treat' at the schools. Probably safer.
ReplyDeleteHalloween was quiet for me, although I did see quite a few families with children dresses as witches and ghosts!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
