Understanding the Introvert




I have to admit it. I'm an introvert and this article explains it best. I need friends as much as anyone but I just find it difficult. 
Anyway, I'm better off this way than being with people who are phony and manipulative.

    I try to respect others space and feelings...but I must admit that I hate labels because I think we all have many sides to our personalities. Just my two cents worth...

      I agree. Everyone is an individual who can't really be labelled as 100% this or 100% that. We are a combination of traits and at different times we can even be more of an introvert or extrovert.
      I should have said that most of the time I fit into the introvert category.

    If I HAD to label myself, I too would be an Introvert... don't like too much attention, noise, loud people, need my space and quiet time, etc. Some people DO siphon off all one's energy... and my solution is to keep them at a distance. But I love people... just in small groups or small doses.

      That's just how I feel. It's not necessary to label someone. It's much more complicated than that. Still, I fit more into the description of an introvert.
