REFLECTIONS

Photo is from web.  This past week we heard footsteps and loud jumping noises coming from our attic. I thought it could be a mouse or rat but the sound was too heavy. It was like a disco party! I watched his daily routine: sleep quietly all night, run and jump during the day. There were loud random landings. Then it ran outside for food and water. Then it came back inside for some more noise before going to sleep. We called a pest control company to have a look and remove the animal. He started by looking at the house from the outside. After only a few minutes he came back in laughing.  He saw a squirrel looking back out at him from inside the attic. He said it was something he had never seen before and he would be back in a few days with a "One Way Door" so the animal could be safely removed and never get back in again.     Here is another video: Wish me luck.

The other day while browsing through the web, surfing for an interesting item, I came across this image of a beautiful woman. It's a French ad for cosmetics.   I knew about how the radioactive element Radon was thought to be healthy at one time. But these images brought this misconception to life for me. The sad thing is how lighthearted some of these videos seem to take such a painful way to die.

My daughter bought me a Storm Glass last Christmas and w hile I was browsing the internet I came across a very strange weather predictor from the same time period called the Tempest Prognosticator. Both are from about the 1860's. First let me show you the Storm Glass (Fitzroy Storm Glass) my daughter gave me. It's more decorative than practical but it looks great on my desktop.  Mine always stays in the same formation as the Warming image above. Corona virus forced this restaurant to improvise. I took these photos from inside my car. Notice the "professional" look of the table, cone and red tape holding the sign. In such difficult times of the Corona virus it is a work of art highlighting the creative ingenuity of the restaurant staff. At first I was afraid my wife was getting into drugs from being so bored. 😃!   But they are only cosmetics and a hair band.  Still, it looks very suspicious at first sight. The disorderly tabletop does not help. Maybe after the virus is gone order will be restored. What is the name of this plant? You have to keep occupied during the Corona "house arrest". Any ideas about this plant? My brother emailed me this video.
