"Materialists assume that there's no life after death, but it's just that — an assumption that cannot necessarily be proven." "... there's no reason to believe that we only have one shot at this thing called life."   I believe this is a matter of faith, not logic.   I've heard of uploading a person's soul into the internet; continuing life after death by surfing the "web world".  I've heard of moving the soul into a new artificial body.  Just like replacing a leg or hand with a manufactured body part; the soul would be transferred from the dying body into a new body.

I believe we have some free will but not completely.  Here's my idea: The adventure of life is like sailing in a small ship.  We can adjust the sails and rudder but the wind and waves are mostly in control.   Reaching our goals, changing them when the situation proves they are unobtainable, recovering from unexpected hardships, succeeding when it seems all is lost; in the end we have much less control than we believe.  This makes life scary but it also makes it exciting and enjoyable.

It's too strange for me to believe that my whole experience of life is not real but I can't prove it .

I'm used to the way things seem to be but just not why. Science finds how some things work, not why. Most of the laws of science are too complicated for me to understand. They seem like magic. Possibility : A religious person might say that it's the way God wants it.  Maybe that's the answer to this question.  As for me, I'm just not sure.  It would be great to have a stronger faith.

I'm trying to learn Italian by studying some free internet sites. I came across this video. It's about a man who can't forget the woman he loves. She rejected him but he can't get her out of his mind, even when he is with another woman. While surfing the web I found these interesting videos.  They show a realistic view of the bow and arrow. The English longbow archers seem to be the best. There are 3 videos.
