I took a course not long ago about keeping the brain sharp as you age.
Some things which help are:
~getting enough sleep
~avoiding stress
~keeping your heart healthy because this improves blood circulating to the brain.
~social contact
~healthy diet (Mediterranean, olive oil, nuts...)
~caffeine 200 mg to 400 mg daily!
~Exercising the brain works. Learning to juggling is one of the exercises that was suggested.

That's why I'm learning to juggle. One ball was easy. I'm starting to juggle two balls but I still drop them most of the time. It's taking longer than I thought but I only have myself to blame because now I only practice for about two minutes a day.  I'll have to put more effort into it.

Learn How To Juggle

  1. It's just so important as we get older to keep our physical and mental health in good shape. If we don't do it then who will? Loved the graphics, if that's the right word (moving picture).

    1. I think graphics is the right word but I'm not sure.
You're right. It is up to us even if it gets difficult at times.

  2. the problem is doing all the things suggested ... not really easy !
I am too stressed, I don't sleep enough, I can continue...
only positive point: mediterranean food , this is the only good point leaving in Italy :-)
very funny post John ! ciao

    1. It is difficult. I found out something strange for myself.
If I set up a strict schedule and program to be healthy it can GIVE me stress. It's not good to push yourself too hard.

  3. Couldn't do it if I tried way! I do love olive oil! And watching the animated juggling was a great short meditation exercise :)

    1. I'm not sure I can get the hang of it. At least the juggling balls were inexpensive. Each ball has four colors; yellow, red, blue and green. They look good on a bookshelf!
