Open a Tin Can with Your Bare Hands?
This Russian video shows how to open a tin can without a can opener. In an emergency this could be necessary.
I don't think this will work if you have arthritis. Maybe it would work if a lot more time was spent bending the can back and forth.
Placing the can on the edge of something hard like a sidewalk curb and using your foot would be easier even if not very appetizing.

John, I watched the video. And I came to conclusion that I am not strong enough to open this way a can. I wouldn't even try to do this. I prefer can opener. It was fun to read and watch a video!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it Kaya. The man looks a lot stronger than I am. A can opener is the best way!
DeleteI won't be able to do it ! strange people :-)
