These are my photos of the Jimsonweed growing in a pot that had Marigolds. It planted itself again this year. They call it a weed because it has a strange odor. I think the plant is beautiful.
Here you can see one of the Marigolds underneath the plant.
Well Debra it grew on its own without my planting it but the flowers are so beautiful that I decided to watch it grow. It also has these spiked "apples" that stick you if you touch them! I'm NOT using it to get high.

An 11-day high? Holy crap! So why are YOU growing Jimsonweed then, John?
ReplyDeleteWell Debra it grew on its own without my planting it but the flowers are so beautiful that I decided to watch it grow. It also has these spiked "apples" that stick you if you touch them! I'm NOT using it to get high.
DeleteYeah, John, I believe ya! *wink*
DeleteWow..."beauty and the beast" in the plant world.
ReplyDeleteYou do seem to have a "green thumb" John~
Thank you Jan but I can't take credit for this one. It just likes to grow in that pot.
DeleteIt is wildly successful in that pot. As long as you don't ingest it you can enjoy its beauty.
ReplyDeleteI'm too afraid to try anything like that.
DeleteThank your for both the botany and history lesson. Had not realized the British soldiers spent 11 days high. No wonder they lost the war.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! Love this comment :)
DeleteThat flower sure is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt opens up later in the day.
DeleteWe think alike! We both had pretty flowers on a post!
ReplyDeleteWhatever you do, DO NOT put that in a salad!!
Imagine serving that salad to company!
