I was hoping to make a little money by joining Google AdSense.
That was when I noticed I had an unbelievable number of views from Russia.
As soon as I stopped putting AdSense ads on my blog the Russian views gradually declined until they stopped altogether.

Now the statistics look more realistic even though I can't understand why France is so high.
Something strange is going on.
The statistics are not real.
I'm finished with Adsense. Besides, the blog looks better without ads.
Maybe I'll also just stop looking at the statistics; but I'm curious.
I'm just as confused about all this as you are. My statistics show some crazy numbers, too!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll just stop looking.
DeleteIsn't blogging an adventure, John :)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking just for myself...I never look at the adds on any of the blogs I visit.

ReplyDeleteStrange, isn't it.
DeleteI also have a very high number of views from France. The only explanation, the French have very good taste! Vive la France!
ReplyDeleteThat must be the answer!
DeleteYou know I wasn't aware you had adds on your blog...because I have an add blocker which does block those adds on many sites.
ReplyDeleteThe countries that visit your blog - well that's just too weird!
I only used the ads for about a week or so. I don't like the way they look. No more ads for me.
