My Sleep Study

Tonight I'm having a sleep study at a nearby clinic.  Do I have sleep apnea or sleep related seizures?  Maybe I have both.

I usually have my seizures at night. The sleep study should help with the diagnosis.  But I'm still worried about what it may show.

Today I can not have any caffeinated drinks and naps are forbidden. The result is a headache and feeling very sleepy.

The test is from 9 PM until 5 or 6 AM.

  1. Good luck with your sleep study. I think my husband should have one too.

  2. Good luck! I hope it's nothing serious. That would kind of freak me out I think. I don't know that I'd be able to actually sleep in that setting.

  3. I hope the sleep study gives you some answers. I know several people who use a c-pap machine for sleep apnea and they say it makes a great difference in the quality of their sleep!

  4. Hope you get some good answers. Sorry it's a bumpy time.

  5. Hope you sleep well. Did you know that if you have sleep apnea you can use a dental device to correct it if the CPAP machine doesn't suit you? Good luck.

  8. My seizures also happen when I am asleep. I sympathize. I know you are concerned about the test but hopefully you will get some answers. Ignorance is not bliss. The more you know about what is happening to you the better you will be able to deal with it. Best wishes.
