Can't Comment Fix

For a while I could not make a comment on anyone's blog post.  It was very frustrating.  I could not even reply to anyone's comment on my blog.
I searched the web but all the suggestions did not help.  Then I took a chance and experimented on my blog settings.
Finally I found the cause.  I had Ghostery installed to prevent some advertisers from tracking what I looked at on the web.  It's not just the advertisements, which are a nuisance; my privacy was being attacked.
Anyway, by adjusting the settings on Ghostery to "Trust Site", it allowed me to comment again.

Thank goodness.

  1. It feels great to get a technology problem solved, doesn't it? (I don't get that feeling often, ha ha)

  2. That's good to know! So many programs that help us are deliberately inhibiting our normal internet usage!

  3. Glad you got that fixed!
Creepy to think of all that look at my blog. Makes me want to stop it but I am hooked to writing it now!

  4. I sometimes get so confused. The things that are supposed to make it easier and safer for my to get on the computer all too often only drive me crazy. I'm glad you solved your problem.

  5. I'm glad you got that fixed. It's fun to interact with other bloggers and frustrating when we can't figure out why!

  6. Sometimes technology is simply too technologically advanced for me, I'm glad you got it figured out.

I have software that stops adds all together - and love it as I don't ever read adds anyway as I don't watch them on the TV either, seems I turn off :)
    Happy New Year.

I Did It Again!

I seem to fall every six months or so.  I'm hesitant to use a cane because it makes me feel so old.  But it's much better than losing my balance.  Maybe I can find a cane that looks good and not make me feel frail. Luckily it happened just as I got to the treatment center in the hospital.  A man and his daughter stopped and left their car to help me.  My glasses and cell phone were in the street. The nurses at the IVIG infusion area took me to the emergency room where a CT scan showed no broken skull where I landed on the back of my head.  My blood work was good. My IVIG treatment was rescheduled for tomorrow.  No luck having it cancelled for this month!

Chicken Liver

I'm eating chicken liver because it's  is a good source of iron, for my low blood iron levels.  Iron supplements cause intestinal irritation for me so I can't take them.  Even Flintstones chewable tablets are too much for me. Besides, I like the way chicken liver tastes. "Ingredients: 4 chicken livers (remove the tough tendons if you’re finicky) 1 tablespoon olive oil Kosher salt  Cook the chicken livers: Heat the oil in a small fry pan over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the livers and sprinkle with a three finger pinch of salt. Cook until well browned on the bottom, about three minutes. Flip the livers, an cook until well browned on the second side and the pink color is entirely gone in the middle, about three more minutes. If the livers are browning too quickly, turn off the heat and let them finish cooking in the residual heat of the pan. Remove from the pan and  serve." Quoted from Dad Cooks Dinner bog. Another Seizure

My wife told me that I had a seizure the other night. As usual I have completely no memory of it. I slept most of the next day. Otherwise I'm completely fine.  I'm glad she didn't call for help. She must be used to it by now. When it happened she was very upset. I heard her call my name and saw her fuss. I asked her what was the matter. She left the room for a moment. At the time I was worried about what was happening. What could be wrong with her? I had no idea it was me who was having a seizure.  I see a neurologist for this and am on medication. I'm lucky I don't have a much worse disease.
