Thoughts: Is Life a Simulation?

(click on YouTube for video)

Would this series of simulations work its way back to God?
If it did, wouldn't God just make it a series of realities instead of simulations?

If every effect has a cause, how did everything begin? Thomas Aquinas argued that there couldn’t be an infinite regression of cause and effect without any fixed starting point. He posited that God was the First Mover, who was able to set the universe in motion without any prior cause.
But why can't there be an infinite series of cause and effect?

  1. Interesting video! Makes as much sense as anything about life. Everything is probably AI generated, not even any real life forms involved! Except us, the poor lab rats.

  2. What a fascinating concept! Totally up my alley. My husband and I talk about stuff like this all the time.

  3. Interesting, John. And also interesting about Thomas Aquinas (who is supposedly part of my family's ancestry. Mom's family name is D'Aquin.) Enjoyed the video.

    1. It is confusing. I think it could be a possibility but not as confusing as they make it out to be.

  5. thecontemplativecat@blogspot.com here. Google is messing with me. Remember MIB? First movie finished with Kay opening a locker for Jay The locker showed how our world was the size of a softball, being moved around by giant people from beyond the stars. Sets one to thinking..

Understanding the Introvert

I have to admit it. I'm an introvert and this article explains it best. I need friends as much as anyone but I just find it difficult.  Anyway, I'm better off this way than being with people who are phony and manipulative.  Here is a copy of the article from the "Lifehack" site: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/communication/you-didnt-get-why-you-couldnt-get-along-with-introverts-before-you-read-this-youll-understand-after.html The website is on my list of interesting sites.

QWERTY vs DVORAK Keyboard

I never knew there was a different type of keyboard like DVORAK instead of QWERTY (named after the first six letters on the left of the first row) , at least not in English or similar languages. Chinese has a modified QWERTY keyboard something like: Or maybe this keyboard below is purely Chinese: Back to English:  The video below explains why the QWERTY keyboard is used almost 100% today and some future possibilities.  Not changing my keyboard, it's not worth the effort for me .
