These statues are located at the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge on the Brooklyn side.  What surprised me about them was how they rotate and how they are lit up from within at night. I took these two videos, one during the day and one at night. They're almost ghostly. Here's a news video  about the statues.

My favorite bridge is the Brooklyn Bridge. (Feel free to use these photos.) We visited a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn that is located between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges connecting Brooklyn to Manhattan across the East  River. Miles and his father Ryan look across the East River. The Manhattan Bridge   The Manhattan Bridge is also a favorite but it lacks the stone construction of the Brooklyn Bridge towers, using steel instead. Miles is two and a half years old here. Helping Dad with Dinner Miles likes to send the scooter backwards down the hill.

I took this with me when I moved from Brooklyn to Levittown to Virginia.  It was used in my Brooklyn home when I was growing up.  I never used it but I like its appearance.  Years ago I scrubbed it down and painted it with black paint used for stoves. Here are some images I edited for fun.
