Gah. We have several ant hills in our back yard. We've been trying to get rid of them for several years now. My elderly mother's method is to take a kettle of boiling water and pour it on the first signs of a hill. She feels sorry for the ants but it's no worse than putting out poison. And it works.

Every now and again in life we come across a bump or hurdle. It can come in
our relationships, our finances or as in my case, health.

How odd not to see any ants working around the mound. Interesting series.
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to get rid of them? I would be, before they take over your yard.
ReplyDeleteI keep trying. I hate the red ants who climb up my arm and bite while I'm gardening.
DeleteThe photos are great, but yeah, I wouldn't like them up my arm biting me either!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a big one to me.

ReplyDeleteGoodness, their home that seems rather large.
ReplyDeleteGood sized ant hill. They sure work hard. I got bit yesterday by an ant out in the garden.
ReplyDeleteAdobe Ant Condo...wow!!!
ReplyDeleteOur ants are lazy compared to yours...one mound, one entrance 🐜
That does look a fair size ant hill to me too!
