I agree with Mike. Burning sage before meditating clears the negativity from the area. Keep your surroundings calm and quiet unless you have background music or chanting. Staring into a burning firplace or at a burning candle, or candles, relaxes me, and be sure to wear comfortable, loose, clothing...

ReplyDeleteTry some deep breating when you begin. 4 deep inhales & exhales. Tiy can also burn sweet grass, cedar, sage or lavender in a defuser to calm you.
Try it...might work for you. Also very soft music. I have found Gregorian chanting music at a very low volume very relaxing and effective also.
